Unfog – Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Unfog ("App") you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not accept them, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to form a contract.

3. User Account & Security

Create an account with accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly notify us of any unauthorized use.

4. Permitted Use

You may use the App solely for personal, non‑commercial self‑help and reflection. Reverse‑engineering, scraping, or resale of content is prohibited.

6. User‑Generated Content

You retain ownership of journal entries, but grant Unfog a worldwide, royalty‑free license to store, process, and (anonymously) analyze them to provide and improve the service. Do not upload content that is illegal, abusive, or infringes others' rights; we may remove such material and/or suspend your account.

7. Privacy

We process personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and the Swiss FADP / EU GDPR. Data is stored on encrypted servers located in the EU.

8. Health Disclaimer

Disclaimer — Unfog is a self‑help and reflection tool. All content is provided for informational and educational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical or psychological advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are in crisis, call your local emergency number (144 in Switzerland, 112 in the EU) or seek professional help immediately. Use of the App is at your own risk; no warranties of completeness or accuracy are given.

9. No Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, including title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non‑infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unfog and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Clauses intended to survive (e.g., 6–10) will remain in force.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version in‑app and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Swiss law. Exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland.
